Bookstores like the Barnes & Noble at BU and the SUffolk UNiv Bookstore are urban campus bookstores that aren't buried away inside a campus and do not have controlled access. Even if you are not enrolled at the school, you should have your pick of used textbooks. For the best bet, go to one of those bookstores in the days immediately before the student dorms open. This way, the bookstore is likely to be stocked, but there shouldn't be any crowds.
