Q:
A: Public Partnership is a place in Worcester that is run through Umass Worcester...call 508-856-0011 and find out if they have the # or try information....it is on Century Dr I believe...but I thought they mostly helped out with buying medication for the elderly....i would seriously consider calling 1-800-age-info...and press # 2..the SHINE number....they can answer all elderly questions ...pressing #1 will put you in touch with Prescription Advantage which is a wonderful free program open for all seniors 65 and older for medications....it is a supplement to having say an HMO...so it does not replace it but adds to it and even helps to pay some of the premium of Medicare part D....and then again you could call in Boston the Executive Office of Elder Affairs and they will tell y ou which agency they have in Boston that can help out elders with cleaning..laundry...shopping...even personal care...and Lifeline units...and free money managers....they run 27 different non-profit agencies for the elderly in Mass.....that SHINE number is one part of the program...good luck
