Q: I have no skills, except that I used to be a courier. I have no automobile, yet. When I was young I did some illegal stuff, thus I have a police record. I am obese, 300 lbs., and driving is about the only thing I can do. Being a courier I can use maps, and can drive most vehicles. I am highly motivated, and no task is too difficult. I do not wish to become homeless, I owe three weeks rent of $300.00, I live in a rooming house. I have ties to a livery company who will drive me to a place of employment on a "Charge" basis. With "Background" checks, employers usually pass over me, but I am a hard worker, I'll do practically anything.
A: have you tried day labor--they will often hire you as an independent contractor with no background check. just because you go there doesn't mean you have to do anything back breaking -- tell them you are a driver and want driving jobs. walmart will hire just about anyone.
