A: Begin with the company itself, speak to the next higher person up from billing. Get all the information you can in case you have to dispute this in court. Call your insurance company and tell them the bill is inflated, let them investigate. Is the work done and more than the estimate is being charged? no insurance? However, if any work was done without your consent, it was a gift. If any work was approved by you prior to the job being done, you may have to pay. Gather all paperwork and write down everything that was said, when and by whom. You may be able to settle it yourself. Do NOT engage in angry conversation, call for assistance. Call a Deputy Sheriff if the "guy" is on site and demanding money you didn't expect to pay, the deputy will tell this person this is a civil matter and send them down the road.
