Q: I live in Lake Alfred, FL and was wondering if anyone knew of any festivities or celebrations for labor day 2008 in or around Polk County.
A: There are not any festivals that I can find. I would try the Polk County Chamber or Commerce or The Ledger for other events that have not been advertised greatly. A local park is always filled with people BBQing on Labor Day. Next weekend is the Lakeland Art Festival.
