Residences usually start afternoon, unless the carrier has an all residential route (which is very unusual) Call the post office and ask for the delivery supervisor for your area. He/She can tell you within 30 mins of when the carrier should be there each day. (They have a set route and they are NOT supposed to deviate from that route.)
