Q: i've been out of prison for a year now if i obtained my c.d.l. would it be hard to find employment with a trucking company because of my background?
A: Not to be insulting but a substandard or desperate one. For a couple of reasons. Not only the prison thing but combine that with being a new and inexperienced driver will cause most reputable companies to pass on hiring you. But don't get discouraged, I think it admorable that at least you are trying to find gamefull employment. That's the best I can do for you not knowing what you went to jail for or the circumstances. If the were extenuating circumstances behing your incarceration then you PO or local employment office might be able to step in on your behalf to help you find employment.
