Q: ...back to the store and purchase the two year warranty even though it is on layaway?
A: If you don't have the television yet, it's pointless to buy the warranty now. Time will start lapsing on the warranty before you even have the TV in your home. You should be able to buy the warranty when you actually pay the TV off and even then, unless you think something might happen to the television, one year of warranty should do the trick. Many experts tell you don't buy warranties at all because usually nothing goes wrong with your purchase and if it does there is usually a 90 day (minimum) manufacturer's warranty associated with most products and you don't even have to buy that.
