Q: I am looking for The Stepp Funeral home, it is now torn down, but, My great grandfather owned & operated it. My grandfather lived in it growing up. I would like to find info about it. Any ideas where to start???
A: The first Communion after Pastor Mauney came to the feld was observed June 19, 1921, in Stepp's Funeral Home, then over Gregg Brothers Hardware store. (Present site of Mast General store). Above is "some" information about the place. You can go to the local courthouse in the "county" in which the funeral home was located. Go to the clerks office, they will have further records and documentation about the place. Check with local historians, the library.
