Q: I work 70 hrs+ a week as a manager for a flat salary with no benefits or overtime. My boss is a complete sociopath who belittles and intimidates everyone in the company constantly, and the job is so stressful that I get constant headaches and am sick a lot. There is little, if any, time off (just finished three weeks straight), and as I said, absolutely no benefits. The job pays well, but I am in Cali, and the cost of living here is outragous. It's a struggle just to pay bills from month to month. On the good side, there is a lot of prestigue associated with the position, and the professional experience has got to be worth a lot. Does anyone else have this situation? How long is it reasonable to remain there? :(
A: A reasonable amount of time...2 weeks after you find a new job, no one should be putting in 30 free hours a week and feel horrible, many places will be glad to have you. I agree with the first person, get out this job can kill
