Q: Our established social club wants to put on an event with full catering and beer for it's members. Do we need a liscence for the beer? Please cite references if found.
A: I think it depends on where you are holding the event. Most places that rent to say a wedding reception allow for alcohol but you must purchase insurance, or you can only serve wine and beer. I would also think it would depend on if you are selling or providing. Selling, yes I think you would have to have some type of permit. Serving, I think you need to check with the place you are having the event.
