Q: I'm thinking for my summer. Some one help me answer this? By the way, it's a family business. Well, my mom already bought/rented the place so I think this is considered a family business.Oh and thank you to those that have answered already! =]] It makes me feel delighted when I hear I can help my mom out! P.S. I don't want to get paid because I think "helping" is assisting others without a payment in return. OH and one last thing: Thank you Sally!
A: No. Insurance and legal matters would not allow you to be on premises without purpose. There are laws in all states, though they may vary. Exceptions to the rule are for the owners children. I have my own business and my children can work for me even though they are under age. When I was your age I volunteered at an old age home as a Candy Striper. I don't know what they call it now. I also volunteered for the Red Cross. Look for volunteer opportunities on the Internet. Think about what you like. Perhaps a Mother's helper, dog walker, or household helper. Think about it. Print business cards and distribute them to those you know. Be careful, and make sure your mom approves of who you are giving the cards to. I am impressed that you want to work on your summer vacation. An entrepreneur at an early age. Good for you!
