Q: I'm looking for a job that will have flexible hours that won't interfere with my school schedule that gives decent pay. I was wondering how much grocery stores, such as Raley's, pay to the hour in Sacramento, CA, and if you worked at a grocery store in this city, what store was it? Did you enjoy it? Why or why not? Please only respond if you or someone you know has worked at a grocery store in Sacramento, CA and you actually KNOW what they pay, not "I would guess...". I certainly wouldn't be looking at $7.15 an hour because minimum wage in California is $8.00 per hour. Please only respond if you know about the city I specified.
A: At Raleys you need to start as a Courtesy Clerk which starts out just above minimum wage and work you way up to Checker which then is on a Union Scale somewhere near $15.00-$20.00 an hour. It is only part time at first but you can make up extra hours by working at other stores besides your home store.
