You asked about HOME thefts, and he gave you the number of robberies (which is when something is stolen from a person--like a mugging or a hold-up). In any event, a more accurate statistic from the same chart would be the number of burglaries. There were 1340.8burglaries per 100,000 people. Since Sacramento has a population of about 400,000, the total number of burglaries was about 4 times that. Just to complicate matters further, however, even this number is not the whole story, since there are probably more burglaries of stores and other businesses than of homes, so the number of crimes against people's homes is going to be considerably less. Unfortunately, the statistics don't give anything more accurate than what I have provided here. I hope this helps.
