Q: seems there must be a web site to find out about elderly residential facilities and which are licenced--not getting very far with my search--I mean those that are about 6 beds each
A: Penny-- One of the best places to call for answers to questions like this one is your local Area Agency on Aging. They will know about residential care options in the county and other services that support family caregivers. When you call ask for "Information and Assistance" or the person who helps family caregivers--if you are a caregiver for someone who is needing this help. The Area Agency that serves San Diego is: Aging and Independent Services 9335 Hazard Way San Diego, CA 92123 Contact numbers I have for this group are: website: www.ais-sd.org Business phone: 858-495-5885 Outside San Diego County: 800-510-2020 Hope this helps! Best wishes!
