The Skinny As soon as you step into the San Diego Farmers Market, you'll feel like you're in another country. Unless you're from Mexico, then you'll feel right at home. The collective of shops, located at the corner of Imperial Avenue and 21st Street, offers many things, none of which is boring. Visitors expecting a traditional farmers market may be disappointed. The full Mexican market does provide vegetables and other fare, but the San Diego Farmers Market provides more than just tomatillos and peppers of every shape and form. The building is actually a series of stalls, containing stores selling luggage, towels, pinatas, shoes, cowboy boots, children's tuxes and fresh flowers. There's also a taqueria, a stand for juices of every flavor and a seafood stall. Everything's really affordable.
