Q: I'm planning on moving to California fairly soon, most like the San Diego or LA area, and would like to know the starting pay for a bookstore employee, so that I know what to expect economically when I move. I've worked at a bookstore in my area for nearly two years already, holding various department specialist positions, so I'm more than qualified for the job.
A: California minimum wage law stated that the minimum you get is $7.50 an hour. Higher wage depends on the job and your experience.
