Q: He said his name was Barrister Phillip and he was an attorney of a lady in Ghana trying to get a visa for the U.S. Does anyone know about how Ready Limo is connected to this scam? When I call the number noone knows anything about what I'm talking about. I'm sure my caller ID doesn't give the wrong info.
A: A lot of scammers will use a caller ID scrambler program. What it does is triangulates the signal from somewhere else (IE the Limo company, etc). That way when they call, it looks more legit. The scam is a variation of what we in the FBI call a Nigeria scam. You can call your local FBI unit to report it.
