does the jury have 36 hours to decide on a verdict?

Q:

A: A jury has as long as it needs to render a verdict. Should it be unable to agree, the judge may declare a mistrial. These are rules established for most jury trials. I suppose it is possible that a municipal or other local court might have some different rules, but as a former juror in a civil trial I can tell you we had as long as we needed to come up with our verdict.
