Q: what place is better to live, Vista, CA or San Marcos, CA... i wanna move there but I don't know what city is better to live... I know is up there but i wanna know what city has at least a mall nearby, target, barnes and nobles and all those shopping areas that I love... Im getting very confused, because some of you guys are saying that there is lots of gangs in both places, but i've been doing a huge research and is suppose to be one of the safest places to live in the COUNTRY****
A: Vista is better--cooler weather, closer to the coast. Both are suburban bedroom communities and relatively safe places to live. They are relatively safe. Both have older parts that have a few gangs. But most of the gangs are in Oceanside, not Vista or San Marcos. There's a large mall in Carlsbad by the 78 freeway, and another in Escondido by I-15.
