Q: I am new in San Francisco and have no idea where to go. Where are the dance clubs? Which ones would you recomment? I am over 21 and love ALL music. Any suggestions on where I can have a good time in San Francisco?
A: Here are the best clubs that are not cheesy and with great music: Supperclub (Harrison / 2nd), The Temple (Howard / 2nd), The Mezzanine (6th Street / Jessie Street). Here are the "hot spots" that bring hot girls but where the music sucks (low energy 80's, top 40, etc...): Harlot (2nd / Mission0; The Fluid "2nd & Mission" You should also check out "The Matrix Fillmore" on Fillmore/Chestnut - a nice lounge that brings good crowd. Surprisingly good on Sunday nights.
