Molina or Group Health - Better health care provider in King County, WA?

Q: I'm trying to make a decision on a health care provider that is beneficial for my son and I need your help! I have the options of choosing between Molina or Group Health. My son is 3 weeks, 1 day old and has a heart murmur. He has been diagnosed with a VSD, ventriculat septal defect, which is basically a hole in his heart. Normally children who are born with holes in their hearts, the holes will close up on its own after some time. In his case, the hole is at a position where it will not resolve on its own therefore he will need more interventions such as surgery. Scary isn't it? I'm a new mother, this is my first little baby. As a parent, it's a total nightmare dealing with your child's health conditions whether if he/she is diagnosed with a hole in their heart or even if they are very ill with an ear infection. Either way, you lose sleep wishing they will get better. So given the heart condition, there's not much I can do because it's all in the hands of the doctors. I just want to know that he'll be in good hands... Can someone please point me towards that direction?

A: Go to each website and see if your doctor is a preferred provider with them. My experience is that you should avoid Group Health if you can...as far as I know, you'll always have to go to a group health clinic which really limits what kind of care you can get. Molina will probably give you more options...especially for specialty care. Go to Children's Hospital...they are truly the best!!
